Located off Junction 11 on the M6, this building offers a multitude of solutions to existing restrictions at Access 10. Set in over 6 acres, the main warehouse is 60,000 sq. ft. (compared to our current 38,000 sq. ft.) and has 56 high load bays available (compared to our existing 8).

It offers the APC the opportunity to continue with its rapid expansion and, with the extra office space available, should serve us well into the future.

The building is currently being partially refurbished by the landlord and made ready for our purposes. This includes re-installing the automated truck wash.

It is anticipated that the relocation should take place in late summer 2003.


After a long consultation period with several suppliers, the APC board has awarded the contract for a new conveyor system to P G Gavin & Sons.

It will include a separate security belt, an automated freight sort return system as well as 3 times the existing number of sortation arms. This will help in reducing mis-sorts and speed up the night sortation process significantly.

It represents the largest capital investment so far and is an indicator as to how ambitious the APC's plans for the future are.
